About This Spot

Walking into Lin’s Club, you step into an intimate corner of Monrovia that feels more like being invited into a friend’s kitchen than a typical restaurant. The space is small, with just a handful of tables where conversation bubbles quietly alongside the simmer of fragrant spices. The pace here is unhurried and genuine, inviting you to settle in and savor a meal that’s rooted deeply in Sichuan tradition.

The atmosphere is quietly warm, shaped by the rhythmic care in the kitchen and the thoughtful attention from the staff. It’s the kind of spot where the hum of quiet chatter mingles with the clinking of bowls, forging a connection between the diners and the people who craft their food with evident pride and knowledge. Although modest in size, Lin’s Club feels rich in character—a humble, authentic pause from the bustle outside.

Here, the menu is an exploration of bold, nuanced flavors that balance heat and depth without overwhelming. Dishes arrive alive with a vibrant palette of spices and textures, from tender chunks of tea-smoked duck to the satisfying complexity found in a simple cucumber salad or a bowl of dandan noodles. The offerings create a thoughtful journey through Sichuan’s rich culinary landscape that feels personal and homey rather than flashy.

Those who frequent Lin’s speak of the kind of food that quietly inspires loyalty—the kind that surprises even seasoned lovers of Szechuan cuisine with its sincerity and heart. It’s not just about the peppery bite or numbing tingle, but the way every dish feels considered and inviting, as if the chef themselves is sharing a treasured family secret.

Whether you’re stopping by to share a meal with close friends or seeking a comforting yet spirited experience, Lin’s Club offers a rare connection to authentic flavors served in a setting that reminds you why food is so much more than just sustenance—it’s a moment of warmth, discovery, and quiet delight.

Hidden gem in Duarte Owned and run by the real Szechuan Chef. Credit cards accepted. Parking is easy. Delicious food. Only 3 tables inside. Uber Eats Available. Everything is good but the AC. AC is weak.

First time trying out Lin’s Club in Monrovia and it feels like a great place for Sichuan-style home cooking. The restaurant is pretty small and cozy, but the menu has a lot of interesting dishes if you’re into authentic flavors. We ordered a few things to try: • Spicy fried chicken nuggets – Definitely recommend this one! The chicken was tender, with a nice kick of spice but still very flavorful. • Spicy pig’s ear in chili oil – Pretty authentic taste-wise, though the cuts were a little too thick for my liking. Still enjoyable if you’re into that dish. • Twice pan-fried pork belly – This one wasn’t our favorite. Not much flavor and just didn’t stand out. What makes the place even better is the owner – super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience felt like dining at a friend’s home.

Y’all better stop playing. Run don’t walk! Lin out here bout to have every other Chinese restaurant you have ever been to just give up. Lol! I’m talkin bout they shutting doors and hanging up they aprons! Lins is the ONLY Chinese restaurant you will need for the rest of your life! Impeccable! Look, I don’t even know what I ordered… beef noodle something… I asked for help and the woman taking my order suggested it. The atmosphere was lovely. They had the fam in there, everybody eating at the end of the night. I came in close to closing around 9:15p. Everybody was friendly and the food came out in no time. Plus the prices are great. If I could give more stars I would! THE BEST!!!!! Xiexie Lin! Got me out here leaving comments in AAVE! Lol! This food is so delicious I had to do it justice in a way only AAVE can. I will be going back!

I've been coming here for a year now and I always get the hot pepper chicken and the 3 item cold dish. Even if you can't handle the spiciness you will come back for more. Also the lady that works there is very sweet and caring. Thank you for the delicious food .

I was genuinely surprised by how amazing this restaurant is. After trying so many Chinese restaurants in the area and often leaving disappointed, I wasn’t expecting much. But from my very first visit, the food here completely caught me off guard—in the best way possible. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. A friend introduced me to this place, and I can honestly say it’s a new favorite. I’ll definitely be coming back regularly!

Great little place that can accommodate about 20 people. Food reminds me of mon's home cooking (Taiwanese style). Food is a bit spicy, but delicious.

This restaurant is a true gem, the lucky find for those searching for the hole in the wall place with outstanding food and even better prices. The single lady attendant is amazing - she remembers every order and every customer. Definitely try the spicy fish, the pepper beef, the spicy crispy chicken, and the tea flavored smoked duck. The portions are large, and the food is delicious. You can request to make the food less spicy if desired. There are only three small tables.

My favorite club. I have been here too many times for both take out and dining in. It’s a very small space, the owner is so nice, and the food is so good and reasonably priced. Love the hot pepper chicken, mapo tofu, cucumbers, green beans, and the cumin beef noodles are always a must order.
